Could you make a new release?

I see that there has been a lot of improvements in the dev branch since the last release about two years ago. Would it be possible to make a new release (particularly for Windows) so users won't have to compile the latest versions themselves?

Version 1.6 has been released.
Both 32 and 64 bit binary distributions are available for Windows.
